International Conference POWER PLANTS 2018 took place from 5th to 8th of November at Zlatibor.

The conference was organized by Society of Thermal Engineers of Serbia in cooperation with the Electrical Power Industry of Serbia (EPS), under the auspices of the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia and Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Development of the Republic of Serbia and Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia. The event gathered researchers, technical experts, engineers, company managers, policy makers mostly from the member countries signatories of the TREATY establishing ENERGY COMMUNITY of the SOUTH EASTERN EUROPE (ECSEE) and from other countries, concerned with topics and implementation of the ECSEE TREATY.

The main aim of conference was transfer of scientific and technical knowledge and exchange of experience within the topics related to implementation of ECSEE TREATY. Some of the conference topics was energy resources and sustainable development, liberalization of energy market, extension of power plant life circle and introduction of new technologies, power plants exploitation problems etc. Special attention was paid to environmental pollution problems and system for reduction of greenhouse gasses.
